Atmas Offers a Comprehensive Range of Protective Doors, Gates and Hatches for Protected Spaces
Finnish Certified SO1 & SO2 Type Shelter Doors
Robust metal blast-resistant and gas-tight doors with optional splinter protection. These doors are designed according to Finland shelter norms for civil defence shelters.
Key Features:
- Comply with the requirements of Finnish civil defence norms.
- The standard door leaf is made of a single plate 20 or 30 mm thick; other options are available for customised doors.
- Standard sizes 900×2000 mm & 1200×2000 mm, optionally can be designed to the customer’s requested dimensions.
- The door is designed to withstand a 200 kN/m2 (2 bar) blast wave pressure load according to Finnish shelter norms.
- The hinges and bolt mechanism are able to withstand recoil forces.
- The door is equipped with shock supports that make the door resistant to shock loads up to 30 g.
- The door is gas-tight when closed to prevent harmful gases from entering the civil defence shelter, and the shelter can be overpressurised.
- Optional protection from splinters with the SO-1S model, which has a door panel at least 30 mm thick instead of 20 mm in the standard model SO-1.
- The standard door frame is manufactured to be cast in 300 mm-thick concrete walls, but can be customised for thicker walls.
Ukrainian Certified DU (ДУ) Type Shelter Doors
Heavy-duty blast-rated & gastight doors that are designed both for new construction and retrofitting in existing structures. The doors are designed according to modern Ukrainian construction norms for civil defence shelters and can also be customized to provide additional ballistic protection.
Key Features:
- The doors are heavy-duty with an internal structure for high-pressure loads
- Standard door opening sizes are 900×2000 mm, 1200×2000 mm, 800×1800 mm, and customized sizes are available.
- Special frame shape allows retrofitting the door in existing structural openings or on pre-installed frames
- The patented design of the door allows good serviceability after installation

Israeli Certified M-Type Doors for Shelters & Protected Spaces
Israeli shelter standard 4422 defines the specifications and qualities of shelter doors for residential shelters, civil defence shelters, bunkers, and more. The doors vary from light doors for home shelters up to heavy-duty doors for government and highly protected bunkers with require high blast loads protection, gas tightness, ballistic and splinter protection, forced entry, and fire ratings. Israeli shelter doors are live tested and approved by the Home Front Command.
Key Features:
- Tested and certified doors according to the national standard SI 4422
- A large variety of doors, from light blast doors for residential shelters and safe rooms to heavy-duty blast-rated doors for bunkers.
- In most door types, the frame is designed for the installation of an additional fire/security door along with a blast and gas-tight door.
Israeli Shelter Door Types:
- MD – light blast and gastight door for residential shelter / safe rooms
- MDR – blast and gastight door for residential shelter / safe rooms with 15 mm steel plate for splinter protection
- MMH – blast and gas-tight door for civil defence shelters and protected spaces
- MMR – heavy-duty blast, gastight and splinter-protected door with leaf made of 25mm or 32 mm thick steel plate.
