“SAFE 360” for Small Size Shelters & Safe Rooms
SAFE 360 systems is a compact, advanced and certified chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN/NBC) air filtration system especially designed for installation in small size residential

Overview
- The SAFE 360 is an emergency ventilation and air filtration system designed for filtering the air from dangerous gases and particles and maintaining the overpressure in the gas tight shelter required for protection from contaminated air outside.
- The SAFE 360 was developed by Arconik for use in residential shelters, small bunkers, safe rooms and other protected spaces.
- The system is tested, and its components are certified for compliance with technical requirements of SI 4570 standard (Air ventilation and filtration systems for shelter and protected spaces).
- The SAFE 360 was approved for use by Civil Defence Command and installed in tens of thousands of shelters around the world.
- Standard SAFE 360 set includes the following components – blast valve with prefilter (for air inlet), electric blower, manual backup device, CBRN filter, overpressure valve with airflow indicator, air hoses and connectors, decorative case.
- Simple Installation in new structures with preinstalled (casted in concrete) wall sleeves with 4-inch flanges or retrofit installation on existing walls with retrofit 4-inch flanges connected to the wall with concrete anchors.
- Ready for use withing minutes and can be operated by one person.
- The electric blower fan can be operated directly from 12VDC battery or with converter from electric socket 100-240 VAC. Additionally manual backup device is included in SAFE 360 kit for continues operation of the system also in cases of electric outage.

Dimensions and Installation Options
Option I – Installation on the Air Inlet
Blast valve and other SAFE 360 components (beside the overpressure valve) are located under the decorative cover.
Overpressure valve should be located away of the main unit for effective air distribution.
The installation of blast valve and overpressure valve should be made on preinstalled 4-inch flanges (see below).
* Installation in this option is possible only on suitable flanges which are below or leveled with the wall surface. Installation with retrofit flange is only possible in case it is installed in a niche.

Option II – Installation Beside the Air Inlet
Blast valve is installed beside the decorative case with SAFE 360 components (beside the overpressure valve).
Overpressure valve should be located away of the main unit for effective air distribution.
The installation of blast valve and overpressure valve should be made on preinstalled 4-inch flanges (see below).
* Installation in this option is possible both with suitable precast wall sleeves and retrofit flanges which is below, leveled or on the wall surface.

Preparation for Installation
Definitions:
Air inlet – ventilation opening in the shelter perimeter wall intended for pulling fresh air from outside.
Air outlet – ventilation opening in the shelter perimeter wall intended for releasing air from the shelter.
Blast valve – a protective device designed for installation on/in the air inlet for protecting the internal space and the system components from blast wave pressure.
Overpressure valve – a protective device designed for installation on/in the air outlet for controlled release of air from the shelter and maintenance of overpressure levels in the protected space.
Flange – devices for connection of air duct or valves.
Wall Sleeve with Flange
Wall sleeves are hollow pipes which are intended to be casted in shelter concrete walls for allowing passage of air from outside and inside. Wall sleeves are usually connected with flanges on the shelter side to allow simple connection of the blast valve, overpressure valve, gas tight valve, air duct, cable gas tight passages and more.
* wall sleeves are not included in the SAFE 360 kit and can be purchased separately.
